Not a single link you posted mentions anything about a "built-in" credit check on the iPhone. They each speak of the CSR being suggested to do a credit check before you take the phone home and giving you a multi-digit approval code to enter into the iTunes app, but there is not a credit check built into the device. Read your links again.

When you copy someone else's words without providing credit to them, it is considered plagiarism, and thus, illegal. This is exactly what you did.
