I have noticed that like was mentioned in the previous post UMA is still in its "infancy" stage for the 9700. I believe that the reason that UMA is not an 'always on' connection when the Wi-Fi is always available is that the bandwidth availability for the router itself isn't sufficient to hold Wi-Fi
I have tested on 4 different routers.
- Rogers Hi-Speed Internet (Home Router)
- Rogers Portable Internet (Home Router)
- Bell Sympatico Business DSL (Small Business Router)
- Unknown Provider (Hotel Router)
My tests showed that
both of the Home Routers have unstable UMA coverage suspecting it was due to the bandwidth issue while the other two routers I had an 'always on' connection to UMA.
