Dude. I'm not trying to be mean, but did you not read my post? I specifically said to use the Vodafone version.

Hey,
Can you let us know the names of some of the new pics you see? Just curious to know if I already have them 'cos I didn't see any new ones after my blackberry.alx mod.
Thanks,
Sabesh.

BBFlyby-Orange
BBFlyby-Yellow
BBTiles-Lime (also Orange, Spruce and White)
Since you are with Rogers, these may be standard for you. They are not in Cingular's version.

copy and paste your alx file so we can see how it looks.
Also, to get the browsers, resend your service books.

How to use unlocked 8700c on T-mobile network
current have a sidekick 2 and looking to buy an unlocked 8700c to use on tmibile network in US. Is this just as simple as.
1. buy unlocked 8700c
2. signup for BB service (voice and dataplan) thru tmo
3. lock and load?
Obviously I could go get a free 7290 bb but if I can find an 8700 for a good price worth the extra flash.
Thanks for letting me know if this plan can be sucessful before I throw down 300-500 for the 8700.
Too bad Cingular data plan is twice the price it should be. The Amazon deal is great, but not for $90+ a month

Not to sound rude, but in this thread there are links to the instructions. I'm not typing them out again.
Oh yeah, the company's name is Vodafone.

I have a question, I was going to replace my Sidekick II with a Blackberry, but with this option of using the 8700 I am excited to find out about this.
I do have a question, does the T-Mobile US EDGE service work on this model, since it is not technically a supported. This would make my decision much easier, since I am pretty sick of T-Mobile's slow GPRS network.
Thank you for your reply.

Yes, EDGE does work for the 8700, an simple search would have also turned that up for you.
