Hello

I am thinking of getting Blackberry Curve 8900 and have been looking into eiterh O2 or Orange.
At the moment, Orange has given me better package and I intend to discuss with O2 as I'm currently with them and they might give me the similar deal.
I'd mainly use blackberry for emails and browsing internet.

I'm in central London so I should get quite good network coverage, but if the service package is almost the same, which network would you go for under this circumstance? Some people said O2 has some issue with 3G....

Please share your insights which provider you'd recommend and its reason.

People who say O2 have a problem with 3G, is due to them having the iphone and "clogging" up the network.
Howeve,r Orange are also releasing the iphone, so it would make no difference.

So either Orange or O2 wouldn't make any differnce if the monthly total cost would be the same?
Considering connectivity, speed, etc..., there'd be no difference? How about customer service?

If you were me, which one would you go for?
(I still have to speak to O2 rep if I can get at least same kind of deal or better one than Orange as for now Orange has given me the better deal)

I am new to blackberry so I appreciate if you could consider from beginner's point of view. thank you!!

Im moving from t-mobile to O2, and would not consider vodafone, virgin, or orange.
personal preference is o2.

May I ask the reasons you prefer O2 over others? If it's not too much of a trouble, it'd be helpful if you could share the knowledge on each providers/services.

Im very happy with t-mobile, but I can get a better deal with O2.

Virgin use t-mobile's network, and i have had them before. the services the offer are crap.

I also know someone with vodafone, who had nothing but poor reception.

I also used to have Orange, nothing against them, but there plans are difficult to comprehend, and i believe calling them by the names of animals, is just plain stupid.

O2, lend their network to tesco mobile; which my mother uses, and we use for broadband, landline and shopping. O2's plans are easy to understand, and for what i want, are offering me the best deal.

ok, so i suppose in between O2 and Orange, it'd just be personal prefererance... and the content and the service would be nearly the same.

I will come back for more advice when anything arises, but in a meanwhile, I will go for whichever provider offers me the better deal!
It'd be easier if O2 does it so that I don't have to get the PAC etc...

The 8900 is an awesome phone but since it isn't 3G you don't have to worry about the Orange network not having a stronger 3G network.

The 8900 is basically a 9700 minus 3G and minus a trackpad. So you are going to transfer DATA over EDGE all over Europe anyway. Pick whoever is cheaper and has the best coverage in your home.

And on a blackberry...edge is pretty good. They use proxy servers for data and their push email is just as fast on Edge as 3G.
