I was just wondering what the main users are for blackberries. I am attending a business school and it seems that almsot everyone has one. But I am thinking there are a lot out there in actual business?
BlackBerries started out in the business arena. So no surprise that a lot of BB users are involved with business. I would say this still holds true today, but with the Pearl there was a real shift toward the normal consumer end, with regular people.
If you take public transit you'll see 5-10 people with a Blackberry these days.. (High school / College Students, the Unemployed loafers and just regular blue collar worker and the white collar workers too).
Blackberry is now a CONSUMER device, just like a regular cell phone.

I'm train conductor and blackberry is winning with commuters but the iphone isn't far behind
I am an airplane frequent flier, often in business class.
I see an explosion of BB... the iPhone as all over the place about six months ago, but I see less of them.
I think that RIM is doing a good job throwing phones at the market that address the very segmented market, whereas there are only one or two iPhones...
To me it is really interesting how many users of BB there are out there. My personal opinion is that business users get the most out of the system - without BES synchronizing everything, it is a sub-optimal process.
In Ottawa Canada, I see allot more BB than any other phone. I take a bus allot too and it surprises me how many girls I see using the BB. At work, a company of 8 employees there is two of us with BB's.
