Default Not being able to email + loose battery cover

Please Login to Remove!

Hey there,

Just got my Storm 2 and im really happy about it, except 2 things.

1 i cant seem to send emails from my phone, i can type the email, and i fill everything in. But i cant press the top right envelope. I can press it all i want but it wont do anything.
According to the manual im supposed to send it by pushing the option button and then press send. But there is no send option in my options while writing the email.

2 The battery door seems a bit loose, am i the only one experiencing this ?

1. Do you have a BB data plan on your account that is properly provisioned by the carrier? Have you set up the email on either BIS or BES?

2. If it is loose, cut a business card to fit a bit smaller than the battery and place it on top of the battery. That should tighten it up a bit.

1 yeah, incoming mail works fine, its just the fact that i can compose a mail, and then nothing happens when i press the envelope in the top right. I had it working once or twice but something seems wrong.

If it was just a data plan problem, then it should just start sending it and come up with an error in the inbox ?

2 ill try put a business card there, doesent that couse a problem with heat and stuff ?

Small update on the email problem.

Yesterday, i could send an email once

And the problem is that the envelope in the top right stays greyed out. Usually when u touch a button i gets a blue, and then when u click it it activates.

That seems to be the problem, it doesent get blue when i touch it, just stays grey.

Also, the "send" option wont come available on my menu.

Try closing the email or saving it as a draft and then retype the email address. I have this problem every once and awhile when it doesn't like the email address for some reason. When I close it, the message saves without the email address I typed. After I retype it works fine. Maybe there is an added space or something before or after address? I'm not sure

so can someone please tell me how in the world I can take the battery cover off?

Mine is tighter than a pig's behind.

I can't see how to slide it off. Also, Is it suppose to have a little divet on the bottom end of the cover? Almost looks like a defect. (Storm 2)

I just saw a reply on another forum. Are you entering the email address manually? If so, you have to hit enter after entering it or it won't register. Let me know if that helps. Enter your address, press enter and then try to send it

You really need a strong thumb nail to pry to door off. Get under it and pull up. It's on there pretty well but you should be able to pry it up
