Hey guys, I am looking to get the Storm. This is the plan I currently have copy and pasted off Verizon's site: NATIONWIDE SELECT FAMILY SHARE PRI 1400 ANY UNL N&W+IN+MSG $110 S4975 1107

Is the $30 a month for e-mail and web all I have to add on to the bill except the phone itself? And is that only for the Blackberry or all phones?

to use a blackberry you have to get a data plan over and above whatever plan you have.. i.e. lets say you pay 130/month and that includes unlimited everything including internet you would still need the 30 dollard data plan.. this is what they explained to me when i got my bb.. if i am wrong sorry but i am pretty sure i am right..

I know that I need the data plan. I am asking is that all I need to upgrade to. Thanks though.

I can only speak for myself. I had a MotoQ on VZN which included a data plan & 450 minutes/month for $79.99. Txt Msgs were 20 cents each. When I got my BB Storm, plan is now $59.99 for unlimited data, unlimited Txt msgs & 450 minutes/month. So, it's now $20 less per month...go figure!

I called Verizon to inquire about the Storm. Specifically, would there be any difference in my monthly charges if I were to upgrade from my Treo 755p. On the Treo, we have a share plan between myself and my business partner for monthly minutes. And then I have an unlimited data plan which is either $44 or $49 per month. They flat out told me there would not be any new charges and that my current data plan would cover it all. I questioned the rep directly about and "blackberry data plans" and he confidently said that I would NOT have any other monthly charges.

well you allready have a data plan he does not...
internet on your phone is different than the data plan my wifes phone a
env2 cant utilize a data plan...

Oh by the way....the data plan does NOT include texting. That is a separate service with its own fees. I pay an extra $5 a month for 250 texts versus the .20 cents per text without the add-on.
