Default Anyone else using the Gmail app?

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded and got everything up and running, but I noticed something. The nice additions and updates don't work on the Storm. For an example on my Curve I could just hit "d" to delete an email...

uuummm.... Anyone know of any shortcuts on here? I enjoyed those.

Yes. Prior to getting my Blackberry I was an avid Gmail user. Internationally speaking Gmail has kept me well connected. I am perfectly satisfied with its operation on my new Blackberry. However, I merely use it for basic functions - timely responses, access in the field.

I must note that I don't expect a phone to respond like a full size computer. A keyboard, backspace key, and send button serve me fine. I would never compose a professional communication on the fly via my handheld.

when i had first switched over to blackberry, i downloaded the gmail app; but i found that it's much easier & more efficient to just set up your gmail account on your blackberry.

this way, you don't have to wait a minute or two to wait for all your new emails to load (like in the gmail app)

good luck with that.

I second what aira177 wrote. I also feel why waste memory space with an app that can handled by the os with a mailbox? If the gmail app had the shortcuts and features that the full browser did then I might feel different.

I just switched to gmail through Blackberry from the gmail app since the gmail app does not integrate with the calendar very well.

I can't seem to find the correct link to download this via OTA. When I go to the site, it keeps redirecting me to the same page, and I can't download the app. This same thing happened with Google Maps until someone was kind enough to send the direct link to the OTA download. Can someone kindly supply the link for the OTA download of GMAIL? TIA!

OK i changed my Storm's browser mode to "Firefox" and the redirect worked. I'm installing it now.
