Notes

This is a limited time offer. I got this phone and another from my cousin in exchange for some web work. It is just about in near-mint condition, and he wanted to get an HTC Touch so bad, that he abandoned this phone. If I don't get this sold as a whole deal, I will start selling it piece-by-piece on eBay, and the cost will go up.

Wait, you're saying the ESN is 'bad' and you're trying to sell it??

So it would pretty much be worthless then, right?

Wait, wait. You're saying if nobody buys it here you will sell it on eBay at a higher price, piece by piece.

Wow, how....lame.

1. Read up on ESNs. Just means you have to unlock and switch networks.
2. Read up on $$$ parting out things > whole, in general.

($) = account payment problem, NOT the other type of bad ESN issues.

Is there a forum about unlocking on this forum?

ANSWER ME!

Thought so.

Can this phone be unlocked?

ANSWER ME!

Thought so.

Done. I will not respond anymore. If you don't know the procedures after all of this time trolling around on phone forums, nothing can get you right.

To those who know the score, thank you for your interest. To random pasty faces, please EAD.

Retard/Crook.

And believe me, we know the score.

Explain how a CDMA only phone gets unlocked. Perhaps you could use it on Verizon then?

A prime example of why eBay sellers have such poor reputations.

With a bad ESN I would change the condition from
Condition : 9.25/10

to
Condition : -5/10

You can increase the resale value of your phone by unlocking it and making it usable with any network. Then you'll be able to find buyers for it, even if it is not 100% perfect as you've openly said.

A very good point. How do you unlock a CDMA only 8530 that has a bad ESN?

Unlocking only applies to GSM phones.

Oh so this phone is a CDMA device only?

Can it be unlocked and is the PIN clear? Im guessing if the ESN is blacklisted so is the PIN?

Clarify please

Yes, this is a CDMA only device, and no place for a SIM card.

OP states the ESN is 'bad' so you can assume (as there rest of us do) that you won't be able to activate it on any carrier.

If you have the phone unlocked and can verify it works on an AT&T SIM, I will buy it for what you plan on selling it on eBay for.
