I don't mean to cause problems in your BST thread but if I'm not mistaken last I checked there was no unlock yet available for 3.1.3 firmware. Were you able to get around this somehow?

The 2G iPhones running 3.1.3 are unlockable. Its the 3G that cant be unlocked running 3.1.3

G2's ARE able to be unlocked/jailbroken with 3.1.3 but G3's/G3S's are not able
to be yet and won't be until the official release of 4.0 according to geohot(but I have read that someone has already)

Some 3G's [like mine] are unlockable on 3.1.3. This is VERY rare though since it had a specific bootloader that was able to be downgraded and to unlock the phone thereafter... But yes, all 2G's are good to go, since the firmware is new, but the bootloader isn't.
