Default Contacts (not mine) Popping Up

Please Login to Remove!

This is a simple question, and not of the utmost importance, however, I am curious as to what is going on.

I have had two contacts show up on my contact list the past week.

One is mine...at least my name..Eric The other is another name I don't know. Neither had any info at all. Mine had an avatar/pic of a yellow and orange flower

Might someone recognize a orange and yellow flower to give me a lead.

The only place I was thinking, was when I got a new phone and had to start over on my Outlook (I lost everything) I didn't know if opening Outlook assigned an ID and a contact to it.

The other thing that came to mind is even more far fetched. When you right click on the desktop, one option is "New Contact." I have seen that, but have never used it and wouldn't know what to do with that. So I don't think that is it.

Any ideas are appreciated. But I will try to not sweat the small stuff.

Thanks A Lot

The one with the Orange and Yellow flower is from your PC. Look in Control Panel and edi the users, you will see that you have that avatar for your user.

Outlook can add contacts automatically from emails, check your options. Some email programs also can do this, Yahoo ect.

Default Thanks to both of you...

so much for your help.

I do, and did, see that avatar for Windows 7.

I just don't know how that would make an empty contact, under my name, with no name, no address, no number, just the avatar.

As for Outlook adding a contact, I understand that can happen, but I don't use Outlook for email, etc..

I simply use it as a secondary source of contacts...i.e. just sync to there

No big deal. You both simply leading me to know that is is coming from Windows 7 is good enough for me

Eric

To really answer one of your questions, Yes, Windows 7 and Windows Vista will create a contact for the User and assign the flower Avatar to it. That is the default Avatar. Look in Windows Contacts and you will see it. You can't remove it, it will be regenerated. It won't have any info until you add some.

Default Phranc and others

Thank you for bearing with me, and you don't need to if you are busy

So I guess Opening up Outlook in the beginnign is what created the contact with that icon

And then when I synced for the first time, it put it on my blackberry??

thanks to all

such a simple question, and you all gave way too much of your energy

I appreciate it
Eric
