On my blackberry curve i have unlimited generic internet usage not a bis/bes plan , i hvae heard that facebook version 1.6 works on a generic plan. Is there any where i can donwload or does anyone know if this is actually true.

Facebook wont work with a Blackberry data plan.
You cannot get older versions anyway.

What's annoying about it? You have a BlackBerry device... so you need a BlackBerry data plan to take advantage of the BlackBerry platform. If you had an iPhone, you would need an iPhone specific data plan.

Generic data plans will work for some things, but not for anything that requires the BlackBerry servers to use. And most carriers charge the same for a BIS plan as they do for the "unlimited generic" data plans, anyway, so what's the problem?

Get a BlackBerry data plan and Bob's your uncle.
