Default Contacts swap: from 8700g to new Bold

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, i have many contacts to export from my 8700g which is T-Mobile, to the new Bold which is ATT. I will have Bold in 3 days.
I assume: old sim into new sim slot, but i have "assumed" before.
I do not want to try anything wierd that will ruin the order the contacts are in on my current phone, nor list phone number only and not all the additional info i have for each contact: e-mail, address, birthdays, etc.
I am a mac user but do not have a mac e-mail account.
Thank you very much.

Default BlackBerry for the Mac

Well, I am new in the BB community (1.5 years), and very new to the Mac (3 weeks), but I think your solution might be the free D/L from RIM called "PocketMAC." If you were to install this software on your Mac, and then copy all your many contacts from the 8700g into it (probably they'll go to "Address Book") then you could sync them back into the new Bold at some later time. I am not using my Mac with the BB, so I have not tried this, but "PocketMAC" may have a backup and restore function as does the BB desktop software. See the RIM page here:BlackBerry - BlackBerry for Mac

I'm contemplating the switch from AT&T 8700c to Bold, and figured it was going to be pretty simple to just "restore" a backup or just sync with the new BB.

Let us all know how this works, OK?

Hey Ex G Man,

Thanks for the courteous reply. I wanted to let you know that I used PocketMac and all my contacts have made their way onto my BOLD from my 8700g with one synch.

Rock on Blackberry.
