I keep showing an unread twitter message on my phone. This is using the RIM twitter app. I have pulled the battery once and that fixed it, but it is back. Don't really want to have to pull the battery every time. Any ideas on what this could be?

I have read through the other threads on how to clear unread messages, but these all relate to email, not twitter. Any other ideas?

Have you tried installing the app.

Is it a direct message? If so, I got rid of the alert by completely opening up the message in the Messages section. Highlight and click on the message, you should see the message will slide up from the bottom. I had it showing as a message alert like yours until I did this, then it went away.

Or go to your messages, press t and then go to menu and choose mark prior open
