Default Phone no longer displaying contact photos from Facebook App

Please Login to Remove!

Running 5.0.0.591, and the Facebook App is no longer syncing with my contacts in order to display their profile picture for calls, texts, or bbm. All was working fine for days with the new OS (and previously for the last year), then all of a sudden it stopped. I've done a battery pull, and reinstalled Facebook again. I've also checked all of the settings in the FB App.

Any thoughts? This happening to anyone else?

How many contacts are you trying to sync? It's been reported that there is a limit to the amount of contacts that can be synchronized by the FB app (around 1200).

Thanks for that lead, but my contacts count is well under 1200. Since my initial post, I've found that if I go to my "friends list" in the FB app and select "refresh contact" for any individual friend who is also in my BB contacts, their profile picture now appears as it used to (appearing when receiving a call, text, or bbm).

So, I somehow need to "refresh contact" (not to be confused with simply refreshing my friend list) for all of my friends. If there is no easy way to do this, I think I'll just live without having their picture. Weird problem, and too bad, because I really liked that feature.

Discovered that trick of refreshing contact individually myself. Of course,
I don't have that many friends that are in my phone book. I also like
the picture with contact, especially for kids and grandkids.
