I don't think they can be edited.

It is my understanding that the themes available are from different units and carriers NOT themes designed or modified by jibi.

how is it possible that the default 72XX themes are shrunk (as shown by the thread starter)? Is that possible on the handheld to shrink the icons? I have never seen that option. If so thats cool

Jim, not a clue.

El Chino, correct.

bb4lfe, the icons cannot be sized differently than what they are already. The 72xx themes were designed at a resolution of 240x160. When you put something that was designed at that resolution, it will appear smaller when placed on a resolution of 240x260 (its not resized, so it just has more room). When you do the opposite, taking something with a higher resolution by design and place it into a format of a smaller resolution (7100 theme on a 7290 handheld), then it will appear QUITE large.

Hope that makes sense.

I have updated this to be compatible with the 7700 series handhelds, as well. Enjoy kiddos. The only issues I've noticed with the 7700 is the following:

1 - calculator from 7200 handhelds is vertically centered, however it does work
2 - calculator from 7100 handhleds is full-screen, although the LED text and depressed keys are not aligned properly
3 - when O2 theme is activated then another theme is activated, it results in a recoverable JVM error and the theme looks rather deformed; you can fix this by selecting another theme then switching back to the other theme
4 - it appears the T-Mobile theme could be suffering from something similar to the O2 theme; I have noticed this when switching to and away from the theme

okay, thats all I've noticed. both links are updated.

Awesome job! I only have one issue -- I loaded the themes onto my 7100t and when I use the default theme (I LOVE this one as it gets all of my apps onto one screen) and try to use the calculator, it is not only deformed, but I get an "Uncaught exception:java.lang.IllegalArgument Exception" error. Any suggestions?

Some new development.... ON my 7100t i was using the default small icon theme. After installing the new theme pack to see what the new orange theme looked like, after phone reboot, the white dither layer actually moved down to the bottom, right above the title bar on the bottom of the screen.

Thus not making it in the center. So if one enabled this, took a wallpaper and used photohop to edit a wallpaper making the bottom white and then have it dither up. You would have a wallpaper that basically hides the layer and uses it at the same time.

I made a template awhile back for the light effect in the center of the screen, there is a thread somewhere here.

I was thinking of making a new photoshop template, however i just installed the very sexy hi res vodafone skin... I love it! so when i get bored with this, i will do that for the smaller icons...

voda is hotta!!

meducate, thats an issue with the theme being installed on a handset that it wasnt intended for, thus making it not work. nothing we can do.

Default problem with t-mobile theme

i know i'm weird, but i think i like the t-mobile theme best. the problem is when i installed your themes, it changed the menu items from my originals. the browser looks like the browser, but says IM. any suggestions on how to get the original back?

and i, as well.

have tried orange and vodafone, taking both the high road and the low road. the bberry server explanations are kinda fun to read. have been told "Not a valid jad file!" and then very politely explained to that the URL was perhaps incorrect. friendliest DNS i've ever received.

i was, however, able to download the zip file from twoeighteighty, so go ahead and add me to the list of confused also.

i'll have a look at things tomorrow with the OTA stuff when i get a chance from work.

jezzebel, its available with the installation package of whatever OS you have. i'm using the 4.0.2 package. if you are using 3.8 or 4.0, then that could be the reason (i'm venturing towards your using 3.8). the module should be named net_rim_theme_tmobile_240x260.cod.

all error messages are coming from the RIM servers, and identify the problems as coming from the twoeighteighty domain.

as perplexed as can be.
