Question Blackberry application/theme/pictures/ringtones

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my new blackberry curve 8320. I used the cd to download the application to my computer, but i think i did it wrong because i have no sample pictures, ringtones etc. Whats the setting i surpose to use? Should i uninstall then reinstall it? I don't have a memory card as yet. I live in the Bahamas and I don't know if this have anything to do with my phone company.

This is confusing. Does "the application" mean Desktop Manager or the Blackberry OS or both???. Settings for what?

I don't know, this whole blackberry thing is confusing to me. i'm trying to learn my phone. Ok when I go to the desk top manager and tried to take pictures from my computer to put on my phone, it would not allow me. When I'm at work I could receive wifi signal but could never go online, i would get an error. My phone did not come with sample pictures, music etc. Do i have to go online to download them?

Wirelessly posted

First, if you want to use blackberry/RIM branded data applications, you must have the blackberry data plan added to your account. Period. No getting around it. See http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.p...ta_Plan_for%3F.

On moving/copying files to and from the device, the easiest is to use a microSD "media" card, enable mass storage mode in device options, and then simply drag and drop files between device and computer.

Blackberry desktop manager has modules for managing media on the device, but there are only a few reasons to use it, which may not apply for you.

You mention being able to use wifi at work but not being able to get online ... What exactly is the problem? What is the error message? ... Is the reason for your problem that you do not have a blackberry data plan?

Ok I don't have the Blackberry data plan. That solve that problem.

I just order a memory card, so that will solve the media issue.

For the wifi issue, lots of my co workers do not have a blackberry data plan but they are still able to go online. Maybe the company has a block on it, and maybe they are only able to pick up wifi in some locations.

The error message i get is "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again" & that its being connected and it says "A communication failure has occurred, the server may be busy, to try again later"
