Default Blackberry Training for Exchange

Please Login to Remove!

I am going to sign up for the 1 day admin class for Exchange soon and would like to know some feedback from others that have been.

Was it what you expected or more?
Was it missing topics that are you thought needed to be included?
Overall how comfortable are you now with BES?

I hope its worth it.

I went to that, I got a book with all kinds of good information. I think it's very helpful, it would of been much helpful if I had taken it sooner, I figured out quite a bit of it before I went, but I did learn just as much. I hope your company is paying for it though.

I've heard from a RIM tech that a class for 4.1 administration will be offered in September. Right now they only offer a class for 4.0.x administration. It might be worth waiting until then so that you can learn about some of the new MDS stuff........

The 4.1 console can be very intimidating, but after looking through it several times, you find things...I like the whole application push feature...anyone played with that yet?

I plan on taking that admin course as well.

I used the application push for enterprise messenger. Worked pretty well, it can take up to 4 hours to work and it only can be done on devices with more then 16MB of memory.

I am trying to get the company to pay for it, but if not I might drive up since its only 3 hours and pay for it. Then write it off on the taxes.

The only hesitation I have is the responce I get from the learning group through emails. Whoever it is always seems to give very little detail and want even talk to me over the phone.. Anyone have a good number?

I signed up for the Groupwise course for August 24th. I thought their support was good. I worked with a woman named Catherine in the Education Support department and she was a lot of help. I work for a company that will not pay for things on credit and I needed to have an invoice sent for my company to pay. She got all my info and sent it right out. She never included a number to reach her at though. Always just had to go thru the support email address.

RIM doesn't do phone calls, it's all about email

For those of us in the UK, Vodafone also do BlackBerry Training.

You can either go to their Classroom / lab setup in Newbury for the day or request that a trainer attends your site and trains the helpdesk staff.
