Default Settings Discrepancy: Simulator vs. Handset

Please Login to Remove!

So, I was just messing around with the T-Mobile 9700 Simulator running version 5.0.0.303 and there are two settings under options which do not show up on my device. Any ideas? Geolocation and GPS Extended Ephemeris

Does anyone have any idea's as to what they are?

On second thought, are these related to BlackBerry Maps? I do not have BB Maps installed.

I assume geolocation is your position (latitude and longitude).

GPS Extended Ephemeris probably has something to do with the Ephemeris tables the device must download every so often so it knows which satellites are where.

Not something I would really try to mess with.

The thing is, these options do not show up on my BB, only in the simulator.

A potential setting for RIM's mapping software perhaps? (Not BB Maps). A file called Rim40Nav shows up in the new distribution. Its empty though.
