Alright, it's available. More memory than with .162. Browsers a tad faster as well. Post your findings.

Edit: also, I don't use a Bold.

I actually do not have as much free after the upgrade, and the battery life is not quite as good as .162. Thats just what I have noticed.

Hello,

I have a couple of questions before I update to the new OS. After updating the OS to .147 my network connections started to have problems. First off all my "blackberry internet service" did not connect anymore and sometimes my 3G and EDGE connections dissapear completely and I cannot receive emails or IM. Im using a SIM-free phone on an O2 network in the UK. Is this purely a network problem or is it related to the upgrade to a beta OS?

Thank you.

I'm loading .167 now. How's battery life on this version and radio signal quality?

I am telling you...it's a plot by RIM to do free beta testing. We are all lab rats like someone pointed out the other day

Nothing different than .162, except IM folder is gone.

Using it for the last 6 hours, haven't noticed any improvement.

I was just getting used to the IM folder. I'll miss the little guy.

I am downloading now, but from the posts over at Crackberry.com it seems people are having mixed results with this build.

Well I have installed and so far so good. A couple of initial observations are that my starting memory is slightly lower than what I had with .162. Also, it seems that I am now holding on to a 3G signal better in my office than I did with prior builds. Appears stable, will let you know if anything else comes up.

I wonder what is using up all that extra memory.

You probably don't have BB messenger or any other RIM provided IM client on your phone.

Installed .167, then had to revert to .162

The problem I had was whenever I launched the browser it would go to the weather service. Also the "K" key wouldn't bring up bookmarks.
