Hello Blackberry forums! I am having the following problem after updating to the new OS from Tmobile.

When I get a phone call/text and some yahoo messenger msgs I get the following prompt.....

The application gm_8100_v4_o_L1 is trying to access phone logs. Yes or No.
Vendor name-google
App. name-gmail
calling modules-
gm_8100_v4_0_L1
net_rim_cldc_4
gm_8100_v4_o_L1
If I click yes nothing happens. If I click no I get.....

Any ideas ? Thanks in advance

It's a google Maps issue. I just went through it on my 8320.

Here's what I did.

Reboot the device by removing the battery.

Then go into Google Maps and go to Help.

Then after help loads, go down to "Reset Google maps."

Then close google maps.

Go to Options >Advanced Options >Applications.

Highlight Google Maps and hit the menu key and select "Edit Permissions." Change everything you can to "Allow." Pay particular attention to "Phone" under "Connections." Make sure it's set to "Allow."

Save the settings.

Then Reboot the device again by removing the battery.

When it comes back go back into Google Maps. Do a search for anything you want. When you get a result back, Go to details and then select "Call" the number. It may or may not bring up a dialogue that it wants to make a call. Check "Don't ask me again" and select "yes."

It should make the call. Close Google Maps again.

Hopefully that fixes your problem.

Yeah, when I read your post a little more carefully, I see it's gmail, not gmaps.

I suggest removing the GMail app from your device. Then reboot by removing the battery and reinstalling GMail app.
