Default Someone impress me with a fix PLEASE

Please Login to Remove!

After a battery pull depending on what I use first the other won't work. Those being MMS messages and internet (opera mini, BB browser)

If I send/receive a MMS first before using the internet (opera mini, BB browser) after a battery pull then my internet gives the message "could not connect to internet" if I continue trying it eventually works but then I can't receive/send MMS messages.

The opposite holds true if I use internet first after a battery pull. Help!

Have you tried updating your host routing tables?

It almost make me think that something is happening with your APN settings. Check the FAQS on APN Settings and review them for BB and Opera Browser.

yes also i tried deleting MMS service book and then registering host routing tables.

the result is the same as a pulled battery where the persistant problem comes back.

under APN settings i have wap.voicestream.com

same as it was for previous OS

anything else to try?

mmspearl, sounds to me like you need to do a good old fashioned butt-kicking wipe and OS reload/upgrade.

Use the jl_cmdr complete wipe.
How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? - BlackBerryFAQ

First, you follow the instructions, which include making sure your device is completely backed up. If you don't follow the instructions, don't even attempt it.

How do I upgrade the OS on my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ

Then, you can reload your third party apps, etc., through Restore, Advanced, selecting those things you want. I would also recommend you sync your data fully, also, and re-sync upon completion.

good luck.

thanks JSanders

i actually just got off the phone with t-mobile and this was a reported issue the fix according to them.

plug phone into computer, backup data
pull battery out
open desktop manager, rerun software upgrade (which it should advise me to since battery is out?)
- they said this process takes 5 min and it's supposed to delete everything
put battery back in
rerun software upgrade and should last the normal time

anyone ever hear of this?

Let us know. I have not.

So with the battery out, the software will know to delete everything off the phone? Maybe so.

I would just do it the trusted way. You'll have a like-new device.

Yes, please, scroll up and read my post #10 again.

I appears that you will also lose everything via the TMo battery out trick.

On paid commercial applications, it always wise to keep any registrations keys and/or serial numbers in case re-activating is needed.

no, it is not the same thing.

The instruction on the links I posted are very detailed, and exact.

Good luck, read over the instructions and ask back any specifics you need to clarify.

If you don't feel comfortable doing either procedure, don't.

It's possible your data restore could cause the problem to return. After the wipe and reload don't restore the backup file. Try it before loading anything back on it.

i'm trying to wipe using jl_cmder but after the supposed wipe the handheld stays off, there is no screen with 507 error the device just stays off with red light, i'm pulling battery before doing the wipe with this program.
