Default Help From UK Blackberry Owners...

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I'm interested in getting a blackberry bold, but I just want to ask a couple of questions first.

1. If I were to purchase a blackberry phone from ebay, amazon etc, does anyone know how much the cheapest blackberry contract I could get to use all the features (email etc) would be?

2. Secondly, is 35 pounds a month for an 18 month contract the cheapest I can expect to get a bold for. That's the cheapest i've seen it and when I phoned up vodafone they wouldn't budge from that price. Does anyone have a cheaper contract?

Cheers!

BB data plan is £5 on t-mob, and about £10 on O2 if you get a plan lower than around £30 per month. however is free on plans of £30 or more.

It all depends how much else you need.
i.e t-mob you can combi 100 mins and 200 texts and internet, with the bb email for £25.

if you need more mins or texts i would say look at O2's plans.

Thanks for a quick reply. So if I were to buy the phone separately and then go to an O2 shop, what would it cost me to get a contract with unlimited net and email access. I'm such so much worried about the minutes and texts as I wouldn't class myself as a heavy phone talker/texter.

I'm basically just trying to work out whether it's worth getting the phone separately or just going with an all in plan.

you wont be able to just get a contract, you have to get one with a phone.
so its easier and likely cheaper for a bold to get with a contract.

That's a bit of a bummer. I thought that with all the people buying blackberry's on ebay you would be able to buy a bb contract on it's own after getting the phone. What are they doing, just using payg?

no, most are buying them because they are on long contracts and are not due for an upgrade soon.
