Hello All,

I just got my blackberry through work and was looking to set up some email filters and had a somewhat specific question. There are a number of people that, when they email me, I want to have the BB look at them as level 1 messages and then set up my BB to give me an audible alert for L1's while all other messages stick to vibes. Now, my question is this:

Can I make 1 filter doing this and put ALL of their names in the "FROM" field? Or do I need to make a separate filter for each and every person?

Any and all guidance regarding this is well appreciated, thanks in advance!!

I am new to the Blackberry. I purchased this off of eBay and am trying to figure out what model I have exactly. I've read through hours of blogs and have not found an answer. I followed the recommendation of one blog and went into the options icon and then selected "About" and it came up with Blackberry TM but nothing was to the right of it. It just says Blackberry TM and then under it ; Wireless Handheld version 3.6.0.73 and then lists the blackberry website.

Can anyone help me figure out what model I have?

This is probably old... it may puff mummy dust even, I don't know.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nice way to hijack a thread, warren.

To find out what model and software version you have, create a new email or memo pad entry and type 'myver' (no quotes or spaces). After you type that and hit the space bar it will change to show your model and version (like: 7100i/4.1.0.136)

As for the original question about the filter, sorry, no answer to that, 13bravo.

I don't know about BES, but I do know that on the BWC/BIS you can create asign one filter to Level 1 status. I can't believe there is something in BWC that can't be done in the BES so I assume it must be posible.

Does USHA stand for U. S. Howitzer Association? Are you a Cannon ****er?

Thanks for helping. I can't get it to work though.

I did exactly as you said. I attempted a new email and a new memo pad entry... it just lets me type myver in and does nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Perhaps I'm not holding my mouth right.
