Welcome to the forums,

Thanks for trying to locate the owner. The Password reset using emergency call is only for the company Blackberry admin to do. They have to send it from the company's corporate server.

If it's locked there isn't much you can do. It's important for folks to enter in name and company info into the "owner" section in options so that will show to someone attempting to return as you are.

Do your best....If you can't locate, You got a new Curve!

It's possible to remove the sim and place in another ATT phone and make a call and see what phone number comes up on the caller ID. AT&T may be able to do something with the phone number.

You could even remove the sim and take it to AT&T and have them call another phone to get the number. However, people at the AT&T stores aren't always the most intelligent. You might be better off calling AT&T customer service on the phone. they may be able to help in other ways.

Maybe you could put an ad in the local newspaper? Or the owner may have placed a "lost" add...

Curt, they should be able to locate with the PIN and IMEI numbers, but again, like John said, it depends on who you talk to at AT&T. Getting the phone number from the SIM should be easy and will certainly locate the owner, if you are willing to do it.

I'm a long way from Exeter NH, but I have been there several times, and on Rte 111. Beautiful historic area. I have family from that area.

If I had lost my BB, I would at least keep trying to call it.

I still have a guys wallet in my truck I found a year ago in a parking lot. It some small cash and credit cards in it. I have called and called for him and asked his movie rental place to place a note on his account, along with calling a few business cards in his wallet and asked if they knew him, to please relay the message. I can't anything with an address or I would just mail it to him, and of course the credit card companies won't release that.

No response.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Were you at a corporate owned retail or premiere agent? A corporate store would be able to use the IMEI or SIM number to identify the owner and then they could contact them. If it is an agent location they may not be able to get the info. You can also call customer care and have them contact the owner, they may ask for info so the owner can then contact you!

If all that doesn't get it done I would say you now have a curve!
