Just got my Pearl in today, replaced my S710 ive had for years now. Im really impressed and overwhelmed with this phone. It has a LOT of features that i am not used to. Im trying to take my time as i know its always frustrating getting a new phone and trying to figure it out, but thats part of the fun. So id like some info on what all i can do with this phone, i got it mainly because i like how it looks, and it was free. I do own my own business, but its not like i go to meetings everyday where i need my phone to remember that stuff for me. I havent upgraded my plan yet, so i guess that will be my first order of business so i can email and all that. I guess i really just want to hear from others what all i can do with it, so i can decide what i should pursue and do. Thanks. Ohh and i got the Red and its is freaking NICE looking!! love it, had the black phone since the 710 came out, so it was time for a change.
I saw that there was a program on here that will let you change the colors of the trackball, thats definantly something id like to do once i figure everything out. Anyway, lookin forward to some replies!

internal memory is 64 mbs
and you cant transfer more then 2.5mbs or something like that, so songs and movies are out of the question
get yourself a memory card and the instructions for loading the vids are at the top of the section for the 8100.

Welcome, glad you got the Pearl. I also had a s710a before switching over. The s710a is a brick compared the Pearl. If you want to store photos, music, and videos, you will need a microSD memory card. If you upgrade the operating system to 4.2.1.101, you will be able to use a 4 GB microSD memory card.

To determine your current OS:
Options-->About
"Blackberry 8100 Wireless Handheld (Edge)"
v4.2.xxxxxx <---this is your OS version
