Default Voicemail notification wont go away?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey

I have the screen notification that I have a voicemail, however when I check voicemail there is none. I have removed the battery, but it still appears.

How do I reset the voicemail indicator?

Thanks

Call your number, leave yourself a voicemail, retrieve, delete. That often works to clear a persistent VM icon.

And if the above doesn't do the trick, instead of hanging up when you're done listening to your voicemail, press the designated end-session key (usually it's the * key) and wait for it to say "goodbye," and that should do it.

yeah, i dont think this is an issue of the pearl, but an issue of the network itself. i had this happen once on my bb, but it used to happen all the time on my old LG 1400i cell phone...it eventually goes away if you can wait

Correct - it's a network issue. Has nothing to do with your phone. Another tip is to use the * key or whatever key is specified by your carrier to "end" your connection after listening to your messenges. It's also best to get in the habit of doing this each time.

I have had this happen on occasion with TMo. What I normally do to prevent it is to delete my message and then wait for the prompts to say "you have no more messages in your voicemailbox." It usually goes away while I'm still on the phone.
