So I've accidentally created an icon to access one of my contacts in BB messenger. When I go to 'Instant Messaging', there is the Blackberry Messenger, and next to it is an icon which has a picture of one of my BBMSNGR contacts and opens a chat with him when I open it. How do I remove that icon?
Do you mean you created a profile picture for that contact? If so, highlight that contact in your BBM contact list, press the Menu button, click Contact Profile, then edit as needed.

No it's like a shortcut icon, when I click on it, it opens up a chat with that contact, and it is placed in the 'Instant Messaging' file, next to the BB messenger icon.
Ohhh...you've selected the 'Show on Home Screen' option for that contact then. Highlight the contact in your BBM contacts list, press the Menu button, and click Remove from Home Screen.
