I had my BlackBerry 9520 upgraded its OS to "Latest OS: 9520 5.0.0.1206/5.0.0.713 (NOdrm) (English+EastAsian)". The upgrade process went smoothly. I did check my data in good as well as some applications I installed before.

Unfortunately my Blackberry Messenger is not really behaving correctly with keyboard not shown for some GROUP. No issue with the keyboard for individual contacts that I can easily type. I have 3 groups currently with each have different issues:

• Group 1 - No keyboard shown up at all when touch the text input box, of course unable to type. In Menu Show Keyboard not function at all. No problem with emoticon where can be easily select and send.
  
• Group 2 - No keyboard shown up when touch the text input box but can show it up from Menu - Show Keyboard.
  
• Group 3 - No problem to show keyboard when touch the text input box.

I had my phone reset many times (pull off the battery and then insert) as well as leaving the unused after reset for a while hoping that all necessary applications loaded correctly. Still fails.

My BlackBerry messenger is version 5.0.0.57 now.

WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW? PLEASE HELP.

p/s No problem with keyboard at other input area like SMS, MMS, Email

After reset my Storm 2 (9520) by taking out the battery and inserted back, the keyboard can show up once and after that it won't appear. The only way, once the keyboard can be shown up on group chat then better not to close the group chat. Leave it open behind as you can press MENU 2-3 second to display open applications and select HOME to do others. You then can go back to the group chat by pressing the MENU to select back the group chat.

Hope by this can help and reduce our disappointment on the upgraded O/S that giving this problem. I do hope that RIM can quickly look into this problem and come out with new version of O/S to overcome this problem.

this is because of the new OS there is 2 ways :
1- when u r in chat press the bb button - new chat u'll got the KB
2- downgrade ur OS

I do know that that new versions of the BBMessenger beta (.17 and .32) fix this problem with OS 5.0.0.713 -- so a third workaround would be register for the BlackBerry Betazone and get the BBM beta.. I don't know what all countries the Betazone is allowed, or where you are, but you should try that.
