Try QuickPull.

i've tried quickpull and it freezes. Never worked for me. Neither does RestartMe.

I saw someone mentioned he reset the permissions for QuickPull, but I've tried that and it still didn't work. Am I not in the right permission?

What software verision are you running? OPTIONS/ABOUT These programs had problems when the 9530 OS went to 5. I thought they had been corrected but maybe not. Personally, I use QuickLaunch which contains this feature. It also had problems when 5.0 rolled out but the vendor has since made the necessary changes. It is not free but I believe it to be well worth $4.99.

BTW - The permissions refered to can be found in OPTIONS/APPLICATIONS then highlight (do not click) the app and then menu button. Edit permission will be found there. I will caution you that granting any program full "allow" permissions can be risky.

Good Luck

Quickpull works great on my Storm2. Only program to use IMO.

They did release an update like 2 months ago did you get that?

Curious...I had a TMO Curve 8320, and very rarely, if ever, had to pull the battery, or even do a Ctrl-Alt-Del version of the restart, until the past few weeks, when I got rid of it.

Why does the Storm require battery pulls? Would the Tour (VZW network)?

The Storm doesn't have a physical keyboard so you can't do the Alt+Caps+Del. You would be able to do that on the Tour.

I can confirm that Quickpull Pro does not run correct on Storm 9530 with 5.0 installed. Setting permissions accordingly did not help for me. Support has not been back in touch either which tells me it may be a known issue at this point.

I'm surprised you say Quickpull is not working on the Storm. I downloaded their latest (free) software about two months ago, using 5.0 on my 9530 and it works perfectly.

The download link I downloaded the app fron via mobihand.com had a version that was causing conflicts due to the security timer with v5 on 9530. I found this today, installed and it works. There was a bug with the software because this BETA2 worked fine! A known issue...

It works for me if I open the program and tell it to reset. What does not work, at least for me, is the scheduled reset. That was the main reason I bought the pro version.

Are people really that lazy to pull out a battery and slap it back it? I will always do it this way than use a software to do it..

No it's that some of us have cases on our phones and it's much easier to have a program do it and not have to take off the case all the time.

Yup, that's what I was going to say. And with the scheduler, it just resets every night at 11:30 pm before it shuts down @ 12:00 til 6:00 a.m..If they want to reach me that time of night, they can call my home phone.

I agree on this. I granted QuickPull full permisssions. I didn't work, so I deleted it. When I deleted it it took my contacts with it. I had to wipe the phone and reinstall everything to get it back to normal.
