Dear Friends!

Today I accidently deleted my gf's messages. Can I get them back? Please guide me. It's much important to me.

Do you have a backup? No back up, no recovery.

Were these email or text messages.

Actually, it depends on what kind of messages they are. Emails might be recoverable, BBM messages might be recoverable, text messages might be if you backed them up, and depending on which IM client you use, those may be recoverable as well. PIN messages not using BBM are not recoverable.

There are also, apparently, data recovery softwares out there -- like the data isn't extracted and deleted upon deletions, but new data just layers over its traces, is my limited and perhaps mistaken understanding. If you google you will find several such softwares, though -- even though most all have free trials or other offer -- they do cost. I tried some free trials -- indeed saw old "deleted files" popping up in the scans, but never went thru recovery i.e. by purchasing the software. The practice seems legit, fwiw.
