I have the exact same problem. I took it in to the Verizon store and their techs couldn't get it to work either.

OMG I was getting so frustrated with this on my storm. Thanks for such a great tip.

Make sure you enable all permissions on it and all the modules. Do the same for email setup. That worked for me. But the scheduler is still not working.

Compatibility mode (obviously) disabled. Cannot enable all permissions because of the "security timer reset" which seems to be problematic with some 3rd party apps and 5.0. When I try to use QP, I get. "an error occurred while starting QuickPullLib. The application has been terminated."

QP is now deleted from my Storm until a new version comes out. I will restart/reboot the old fashioned way... battery pull.

Yea this is a bummer. Hopefully it will get updated soon. There is a beta version for 5.0 but it still will not work for those of us on a BES.

Where can you download the Beta for 5.0?

I found it by going to Steelthorn Software. There is a link on the right side of the page for the beta. Also I was able to get my BES IT policy changed so QP would work.

Have you tried the beta version or are you still using the latest released version?

Not going to get my IT policy changed when I can simply pull the battery. Will wait for Steelthorn to update to non-beta compatible version. Give them some time... they will.

I can understand that. However the IT policy change is pretty minor and I hate having to pull my battery.

I hear ya and.. ditto re the batt pull. My IT guys are very protective of current policy. For me, there are larger battles to fight...

Default Solved!!!

note DEFAULT is the second permission choice.

2. Press Menu > "Edit *Default* Permissions". Note the "Default".
