Default Will this work? Mac and Lotus Notes

Please Login to Remove!

My med center has a Domino system with BES. I'm a Mac user. I can use Lotus Notes under OS X. I tried just setting up my blackberry to work under VPC but that didn't work. I'm thinking of co-opting a PC for the initial setup and then using the BES to sync wirelessly with my copy of Notes. Will this work? And do I *have* to use Notes? It's 3rd on my list of preferences - 1st is iCal/Mail/Addressbook (not doable), 2nd is Entourage and a distant third is Notes.

At any rate, I'd love for this to work. Anyone know for sure?

No one knows? That's too bad. Well, I'll post back with my results. The tech guy is coming out this morning. Wish me luck.

Go to this site www.scheduleworld.com i read something in there where you can sync wirelessly to it and be able to use ical.

I use Mailstreet BES/MDS to sync wirelessly with Entourage on my Mac. It works well for Contacts and Calendars but doesn't appear to work for Notes or Tasks. I am not sure if this is typical or or unique to my situation.

It is my understanding that you can't sync MacMail/Ical wirelessly, but I have been wrong on rare occassions in the past.

I had used entourage with my blackberry as well. It worked fine.
But last year I got a PC for outlook and blkbry desktop manager. I am much happier now that ALL my gadgets work properly on a system that it is designed for (PC)

I use my macs for what they are intended for now... creative stuff.

Well it works! I have my calendar wirelessly synched (which is pretty cool). As stated above, tasks and notes don't appear to sync wirelessly, but that's not unexpected since the bb desktop manager didn't give me that option for those components. Regardless, I'm very happy. I gave schedule world a shot but it was too cumbersome to use and since my university has BES available for free (and it's secure), why not use it?

My next quest will be to get Entourage talking to the Domino server. I'm not sure that's doable.
