Default Faulty trackball?

Please Login to Remove!

I've only had the phone for 15 days and the trackball already is starting not to move in left and right. Right now, I can still use the phone but I fear it will soon become unusable. I can, but I really do not want to open the phone up.

I am still under the 30 day return and I have insurance.

What should I do?

I would ask for a new one or do the return!

Do you carry it in your pocket rather than in a case?

Typically, carrying it in your pocket lets dirt and lint get caught up around the trackball, causing some of the contacts to be blocked.

To solve, turn the device off. Press and hold the ball and then rotate in the direction in whch it desn't work. Then, continuing to press down, roll the ball in all directions for about a minute.

Turn the device back on and see if it works correctly. If not, repeat the above procedure. If it does, you are good to go and carry it in a case.
