Nose pressed to the front window waiting on FedEx. :D

Showed up as a Rogers. I had an e-mail with the unlock code before FedEx even arrived. Spent most of the day getting everything tweaked with the same utilities I had on the 8820. Updated the OS to 4.6.0.147 last night. So far so good there. The default theme had the Rogers logo in the middle of it. I saw a very similar red flower wall paper in a thread here and used that to hide the Rogers logo.

Only down side I've seen so far is the typical early adopters challenges; few accessories and themes. That will change over time. Austin has excellent 3G coverage. I am seeing similar signal on the Bold to my other 3G phones. Call quality seems to be good. The battery life is not like the older EDGE phones. I've lived though BlackJack & 8525 battery issues. So this one doesn't seem to be all that different. Hopefully, we will see some extended life batteries in the future. Hoping also that Seido comes out with a docking/charging station like they had for the 8820.

And my son is THRILLED to get my 8820.

Providing Ike lets my plane get out, I'll be hitting the road again on Sunday. I'll see how well it travels next week.

Yes.. But you live in Canada. Alot of us don't. I paid $ 815 for mine. It's a premium you pay to get a device not yet released in your own country (us in the U.S. )
