Default Password Keeper Application

Please Login to Remove!

I am very new on this forum, so please forgive me if this is posted in another thread.

I have a 9550 Verizon Storm 2; I was told I needed to do a software update and I scheduled it so that it would happen while I was sleeping. It appears that during the upgrade, I have lost some of the applications (password keeper particularly). I had backed my storm up on my laptop and tried to restore it that way, but no luck....Are there any suggestions. Thanks. Chris

Try this. If you don't have it, go to blackberry.com and download the latest version of Desktop Manager (aka Desktop Software). Install it on the computer.

Start Desktop Manager and connect the blackberry. If you have a password set on the blackberry, you'll be prompted to enter it. If the blackberry is locked, you'll need to unlock it.

Run the module for adding applications. You will see a screen that lists all the applications. Some will be checked, others not. You will want to check password keeper. Do same for others you want, and uncheck what you don't want. Then finish. And don't unplug or turn off anything until it is done.

Then do a selective restore of password keeper from your backup.

Maybe, maybe not. I've read of problems with the VZW over-the-air update, but severe problems. Yous sounds like a simple issue of the password keeper isn't installed.

Where and how did the installation not work? Maybe you do have a real problem, or maybe you didn't do something correctly.

Just checking. If you are sure you did everything right, then that's that. But it may be worth another attempt before you deal with VZW.

I just left the Verizon Store and they discovered the phone has issues on its own. They ordered me a new one and it should be here in a few days....I was also unable to connect to other devices using the bluetooth option and I could not send pics as attachments in my email. Thanks for the help, nonetheless. Chris

No problem.

Would be nice to know what those issues were, just for reference. I wonder if the VZW just took what to them was the path of least resistance.

But good to know they have fixed you up.
