The updates are good but YWeather still doesn't show the current conditions on the home screen.

When I try to do an OTA, I get the "http error 500". Any idea how to correct this?

cool, I had to refresh the screen on the bb and all went well, on my curve running the os 4.5.037 version I get the weather temp, so its working for me, I spoke to the developer, Jason Emerick, late last night as we were trying it out and all seemed well but do give your input. thanks

I like the idea you can copy and paste different components

I think this app is pretty nice! I love the current conditions icon and text shown in the icon.
Just a few suggestions for the next update:
-Right now I have it performing background updates. When I press the back button, it exits the program (and obviously can't update in the background)! Can you make it default to hide instead of exit while the performing background updates is on (or provide the option for doing so)?
-Using a Pearl, the implementation of the common shortcuts 1=top, 7=bottom, 3=page up, and 9=page down would be extremely useful (3 and 9 are most important).
-As of now, all weather programs give you the current condition, then the next forecast is for the next day. I think it would be AWESOME if YWeather could provide hourly forecasts for.. maybe the next few hours (or some user-defined amount of hours), then go on with tomorrow's forecast, etc. All to often I'm about to go out and want to know how the weather will be for the next few hours, and I always end up opening the browser and looking at weather.com's "Hour-by-Hour" forecast.
-Oh yeah, and a forecast of greater than 2 days would be nice, too (again, ideally it would be a user-defined number of days). I think BBWeather nailed it right here. They have one screen for the current weather, and you press the menu button to access the forecast of however many days you want.

I think we'll be seeing a bunch of weather applications getting updated over the next few weeks - more a reporter's instincts than a confirmed sighting.

I'd love to see something with radar functionality built into the app.... even gps based for your current location...

What are "homescreen conditions"? Are you talking about how WeatherEYE uses the little icon with the current temp and conditions?
If this is it, then this version of YWeather does have it. You just have to let it run in the background instead of pressing the back button to exit.

Quick question: is it possible to use it with Wi-Fi? I'm looking for a weather app that also supports Wi-Fi.

This defeats the purpose... WeatherEye doesnt need to be running to update its conditions.
