Default Return within 30 days... my damage?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 2 week old Bold from AT&T, which I am really happy with. I installed .216 and some favorite apps. Things were great until I knocked it out of the holster getting out of my car this AM, and it skidded 20 feet on very rough concrete.

Naturally, I was just thrilled with my coordination.

The damage isn't bad. The phone works perfectly, and the screen is not scratched, but the chrome around the screen is certainly scratched.

Can I return this Bold under the 30 day return plan and get a new one?

There is no doubt the phone was not at fault, I was. But I really hate seeing a new phone scratched up.

Comments (not about me) are welcomed.

Wirelessly posted (3G= Chuck Norris Speed)

Physical damage? You'll be lucky if they take it back!

I would just contact www.horizonwirelessonline.com they can set ya up with a new one for a nominal price

If they won't take it back, why not just change out the chrome bezel for a blacked out or a new chrome one?

easy, cheap, fix!

I don't think they allow you to exchange for the same device. Check out HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center ß for parts & service. Try putting a BB rubber skin.

Talking AT&T Exchanged it!

AT&T came through perfectly! I stopped at the retail store that I purchased the Bold from, and talked to the same sales guy. I gave him no B.S., just told him what happened. He looked at the phone, and reached for a new one, while saying the damage was so minor that he could DOA it.

Spectacular customer service!

You might want to add the $5 a month insurance to the phone. It covers everything. Even if you lose it.
