Thumbs up Battery charges insanely fast!

Please Login to Remove!

I have never had a phone that charged this fast and was actually completely charged! I have owned the Tmo version of the pearl for about 3 months and have consistently been able to charge my phone from 10% to 100% in 30 minutes or less while I get ready in the morning.

I have had phones that SAY they've fully charged in this amount of time but the second I unplug the charger it shoots down to 50% or so. This one is the real deal.

The battery life itself it ludicrously long. I can literally text or surf for 12 hours befor I'm at 10% and it lasts for days on standby.

Am I the only one experiencing spectacular battery life? This is my first blackberry and this feature alone is enough to keep me as a customer!

I'm experiencing the same battery behavior! I'm constantly on the net, email, phone, etc. Fully charged in about 30 minutes as well. Don't know if this is normal, but I'm enjoying it as long as I can. (had phone for 5 months)

I've had my Pearl for over a year now and it has always charged up to 100% within 30 minutes.

I think I'm going to do some tests on mine...
Like time how long it gets to 100% and how long it takes to drain under different conditions.

Okay so I've made out a chart. I'm going to test it with texting, video, picture taking, music, and calling all with my settings (backlight 10% and 10 second timeout)

I haven't had mine long enough to drain the battery out yet, but the fact that it charges via USB makes tracking the true battery life very tough - don't get me wrong, USB charging is AWESOME, just it is tough to get a true sense of how long I could go without charging cuz I am always connecting it to my PC.

Mine charges very fast with the wall charger, but in the car it takes more than an hour to fully charge.

I wish mine charged in a half hour! If I'm not looking for a full charge, it does charge very fast. I can leave it on the charger for a half hour and last the day just fine, but if I'm going from 50% to 100% (as usual everyday) it's closer to an hour, hour and a half... Which is still better than some phones, and I can go 3 days without charging if I need to which is amazing to me still

Love the Pearl battery. Had a Tmo Shadow before this. Well three off them. HORRID battery life. Would have to charge when I got home just so I could keep the phone going. the Pearl is at 85% typically when I get home now. And I use it quite a bit.

the time to charge is great! i've had my pearl for over a year and use Googletalk, SMS, and on Myspace all at the same time pretty much and my battery will be dead in about 3-4 hours of continuous use. It's great though since it doesn't take long to charge....

This phone has great (quick) charge time, and also battery life.

I consistently get 5 days out of a charge with moderate usage.
