Has anybody had problems/success with the new OS pairing with, for example, a hands-free car audio unit? I currently have an 8320 v4.5.0.81 (platform 2.7.0.78)and I am not able to pair my phone to my Kenwood DNX7100. Wondering if this new OS will solve my problem.

i'm running a bb 8320 and have 8.0.5.81 on it and would like to update to the latest version -- 174, however all i have is access to is a Linux machine. Is there any way to download the .exe file and upload it to the bb and have it install from the device?

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide and have a great evening!

No, that's not possible. Windows only for DM and Loader.exe.

Heads up. I've found that this is the first version of 4.5 that allows Moodio to run in background and also in the holster. Moodio should not burn through the battery as much as it did before. Nice to have a free internet radio source on the BB with no special software other than the BB browser.

If you are interested in free internet radio, check out Welcome to Moodio! | Moodio

I'm having issues with UMA calls. I seem to get a lot more drops and/or random switches to EDGE, but I've been having problems with my Internet connection, so I'm not 100% sure it's the new OS. If it continues, I'll switch back to 110 and see if that fixes it.
I'm having the same problem with UMA calls dropping and switching to EDGE. I'm thinking of going back to the previous version, its rather annoying.

Something I noticed with recent OS versions is the UMA gets unstable for a while, then gets back to normal. No idea why it would happen, but if you wait a few days, it might fix itself. I was considering going back, but got busy and a few days later, no issues.

It's like it's learning. Insert your scifi horror story here.

Any Clues?

I can still sync over Bluetooth which recovered all my important data, but I kind of need the usb to work properly for charging and it isn't... I am also having issues where it will just stop charging when I plug it into the wall.. none of this was an issue until I ran the update..
I had that problem. After a little searching... Delete your browser cache and history.

Upgraded two weeks ago. Since then my T-Mo 8320 has shut down unexpectedly about 4 times. I usually have about 10MB free. I also usually do a battery pull about once a week for good measure. Anyone have their's shutdown randomly like this?

Its been posted many times. That's usually caused by something on the media card. Remove it and see if the problem persists.

Thumbs down shutdown

I get a shutdown every 2/3 day so far in the past couple of weeks. I am going to have to make a routine battery pull every night. This is horrible. I'd rather have it auto reboot rather then powering off. We miss important calls/pages/e-mails if it happens in the middle of the night or if we are not monitoring our phone.

no problem for me... I matter of fact this OS has been the most stable in the last few months.

Even the memory leaking is not that terrible. GoodLuck...

Try downloading the file all over again and reinstalling it. These are fairly large files so it's not impossible to have some error occur in downloading, installing on the computer, or installing on the phone.

It's rare that someone posts back with problems after trying to re-install the OS. I don't know if that means they've fixed it another way, downgraded the OS, or it worked.

Now my 8320 shuts down at least once a day for the last week. What's the deal?

Still running without any issues here. No random shutdowns, seems to work flawlessly on my Curve 8320. I do however tend to clear my message/call logs frequently, use the "memory cleaner" and clear the browser cache to optimize available memory resources.
