Question Has Your Pearl Been Damaged, Lost or Stolen

With all the revelations and confessions about phone abuse scattered about the threads, thought it might be educational and enlightening for BBF members to share their phone horror stories. Make sure to tell us how things were dealt with afterward [e.g., took the pain, got a new phone, buffed out the scratches, got a case, etc.]

I'll go first:

My 7100t phones were never dropped, lost, or stolen.

The first week I got my Pearl, my cat was fascinated by the brightly lit display. She batted the phone with her paw and the poor Pearl flew about five feet sideways, luckily on to a carpeted floor.

About a month ago I was rushing to catch a train. I was shuffling luggage and trying to place my Pearl into its holster. The Pearl fell on to cement. Because the phone suffered no visible damage but the speaker stopped working. Had to make a warranty since it could have been coincidence about the speaker as other Members reported the speaker just goes kaput.

Very interesting story...My only story will be that my cat try to do the same thing and I accidentally drop the phone when it was being charge by my laptop. I forgot it was plug in and I picked up my laptop and it hit the bed but everything was ok and my Pearl was alright.

while it doesn't handle the abuse my old 62xx/72xx did (dropped a 7230 from a double-decker bus onto the concrete in NYC, got off a block later and came back, picked it up and was still ticking), the Pearl is not doing terribly bad. Dropped it a few times on the linoleum at home and the one time I dropped it on concrete the volume up button quit working. Just had it replaced under warranty though.
