Anyone know if the trackball has multi-color led's like the old pearl does?

Wow I didnt know that the Pearl was the only one to have multi colored leds under the trackball. Guess you learn something new everyday.

not sure how the OS is laid out on that one BUT you can find out by: hitting the send button to bring up your call logs, hit menu, choose options, then look in general i believe and there should be an option in there for you to turn the multi color lights for when someone calls... now if that options is there then you know it has the colour LED, if it doesnt have the option then my guess would be no then

It'd be a bummer if it didn't, wow I'm gone from the forums for a month or so and I feel so behind, I knew the 81xx was coming out soon but it seems like it's already out. Maybe if someone that has it could take out the trackball to find out... if it's as easy as the original 8100 that is.

my wife's telus 8130 doesnt have multi-color trackball, i dunno about verizon version

Who knows, I wish they would have added the color LED's on the curve as well. I do miss the color pearl but not as much as I love my new curve

I recieved the 4.3 OS with the Pearl 8130. I don't know how to delete all the previous software in order to install the new OS? (and which OS should I download??) Please help!! I have already paid for 2 trackball color programs that don't work and I'm dying to get this working!!!

Welcome to the forums.

Don't do anything with your OS on your 8130. Your 8130 doesn't have the hardware for the colored trackball programs. Unfortunatly, you've wasted your money. Wish I had better news.

BTW, you already have the latest software on your 8130. It's only been out a week.

It's not the software, the new pearls or curves do not have the LED behind the trackball. It's impossible, even if you add the old software... Sorry
