If you read the thread and it says they dont know when it will be available in general how do you expect anyone to know about a particular one.

Can you tell me where you got your information or where I can obtain more information on the subject? Or is it still a big secret?

Interesting but the M shortcut was obviously not one of those dependent things.

Load up Pocket Day from www.crossriversystems.com

It's a real today type screen not just a theme.

I've been thinking that it would be very interesting if Cross River Systems could rejig PocketDay as a home screen theme. It may not be technically possible on the 8700. But a guy can dream.

It has happened twice this morning alone, although not prior - could be something I did (restored old SMS messages last night), so let's see.
While this had not happened to me anytime since I made the original post on the bug, it just happened this morning for no reason at all (atleast that I could tell). Anyhow, as a 'quick' fix for the issue (in case its not fixed by the time these themes are available to everyone) and an obviously more appealing alternative to wiping the device, you can do the following:

- Go into your installation directory for the handheld OS then to the Java directory (e.g. - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8700-v4.1.0.309_P2.0.0.133\Java)
- Find the Vodafone Today theme file and choose to Cut it (filename: net_rim_theme_120_today_320x240.cod)
- Go back up one directory and paste the file there (e.g. - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8700-v4.1.0.309_P2.0.0.133)
- Open Desktop Manager then Application Loader and click Next until it lets you know that its going to remove the unknown module - complete this task to remove the theme (handheld will reboot)
- Cut/paste the theme back into the Java directory
- Open Application Loader once more and then continue on through until it lets you know that it will update the Core Applications - complete this task to reload the theme

When the theme is removed, the handheld will revert to the Vodafone theme. Once the handheld has the Today theme loaded back onto it, you can switch back to it and the Today screen should not have the phantom SMS message on there any longer.
