Default Limbaugh v. Powell

Please Login to Remove!

Whose side are you on in the continuing war of words between Limbaugh and everybody else? Do you side with Limbaugh or Powell?

Powell is hardly far right. Rove & Limbaugh are the far right in this case. Both are struggling to find a way to grow the party. In Limbaugh's case its all about $$ and if the party grows in the way that Powell suggests then it will inevitably hurt his numbers. The best way for the Republicans to gain power is to expand the base of the party - just as Powell says. But to do that there are people in the party that would have to soften their stances on social issues. Limbaugh for one refuses to do that.

Sorry test. My original post is poorly worded. I changed the wording slightly. Limbaugh is far right. Powell certainly isn't. He is by all rights, centrist. Which is why I like him.

Slight digression: Who wants to bet that Powell was thrown under a bus and given false information so that he would testify and give his moral authority to justify Iraq under Bush II?

thats for sure. no one had more respect amongst the military than Powell. If you wanted to justify a war than he was the man to do it. He regained my respect for resigning from the cabinet.

I also suspect that the endorsement of Obama was in part payback to the mo-fos who had thrown him under the bus.

Thrown under the bus right. I am so sure. If he is this great man of morals and value why didnt he step up and say so then. Why didnt he oust the Bushs if they are so corrupt?

no one said anything about corruption but its nice to see you say that.

throwing Powell under the bus had more to do with him being the only dissenting opinion on Iraq.

Bullshit he didn't know. You are out of your mind if you think he didn't know what was going on. Easily he could have gone to the press just like pelosi did.

You will never convince me that a Secretary of state had no idea what was happening.

Thanks Dawg. And you will never convince me that he did know. Remember that Powell is a military man and loyalty is a cornerstone of his career. In this case, he was too loyal. In this case he was loyal to an incompetant president and his henchman and it cost him dearly.

Oh come on how could he not know whats going on. You are a fool if think otherwise. Oh it hasnt cost him anything. Someone that close to the President knew everything and with his clearances he couldn't have not known.

Hey Dawg, can you please honor civil discourse and refrain from calling me a fool and out of my mind? I would appreciate it.

Oh, and I wouldn't put anything past Cheney/Rumsfield/Rove. The guys who ran the country for the last 8 years.
