Smile BB Z10 notifications

Will BB10 allow 3rd party apps. to enhance LED indicator functionality? In my old Curve 8900 I had apps. that could use the LED for notifications and do things like change colors, use random colors, blink at different speeds, etc.. This was great for me as I always knew (even in Vibrate or Silent mode) if a call was received, a voice message was received, e-mail, etc. I really miss this type of functionality which I have not seen in any other phone or OS (Android, Windows Phone, or IPhone, have/had them all and nothing comes close).

Will the BB10 OS have the feature that it knows when you put the phone in the case/pouch (for cases that have the magnetic indicator). This was also great in previous BB devices as apps. could do different things when the phone was in or out of the case (another thing I haven't seen in any other Phone/OS).

LED/notification/profile customization has been greatly reduced in BB 10.
In Holster/Out of holster profiles have been removed.

ColorID is available, but I never got it to work for me.

Blackberry have taken Color Id off the app store. I heard that it was not working with OS10. Let's hope someone develops one soon

But it was available to download and it did install and startup.
It just didn't work.
Good quality control.

Supposedly, the APIs to access the LED (and pop-up notifications for that matter) has not been opened up for third party apps to use.

Yet.

So apps like ColorID and BeBuzz won't work in BB10 for now.

As a side note - apparently RIM... err... Blackberry hasn't opened up a lot of APIs. After asking about a OS10 Citrix client, I was told that Blackberry hadn't released APIs to the the Citrix Receiver developers yet either.

Come on RIM... err... Blackberry - you are making it harder and harder for me to justify staying with Blackberry to our clients.
