I just bought a new BlackBerry Tour after unlock it some wired signs appears in the upper right Conner.......
what is it ???  |

In the upper right corner...
EDGE - The type of data network you're connected to.
The bars next to EDGE are your signal quality meter.
The "target" icon below that is LBS (location based services).

You don't. That's the GPS receiver in your device. It's always enabled for emergency 911 purposes. (at least it is in the U.S.)

You can try Options > Advanced Options > GPS and toggle off GPS Services. I don't think your GPS will work at all after that, but there ya go.

No, you unlock it.
You put your SIM in it
and it will show at the top what network you on.
Your phone doesnt just show verizon because its from verizon.
It shows it because your on that network.
I have a t-mobile phone and im on t-mobile so it shows I am.
But, if I unlock it, get a sim from O2 and put it in, it would show O2 at the top because thats the network its on.

Is it maybe because mines not unlocked? Anyone else have Verizon and on a Tour that shows "Verizon" at the top?

Any phone should display what network you are on at the top.

CDMA BlackBerry devices typically don't display the CDMA carrier name on the home screen.
There's really no need to, since they rarely, if ever, roam on other networks.
The Verizon Tour doesn't show 'Verizon'.
It will show the GSM carrier name when being used on a GSM network.
