Apparently, anyone using an OS 7.1 device or earlier cannot BBM (Confirmed with Rogers and Bell)with anyone using a BB10 device. PIN to PIN messages work just fine. No messages or PING or file transfer will go through.

I have a device on 10.1, but I had installed both the Clock (11.19.10) from 10.2 and the Camera (10.10.1.3) from another version of 10.2. I found a few errors. If you have installed any of the bar files from 10.2 and then upgrade to the MR - 10.1.0.4181 then all of your existing settings will remain intact. For example: My version of clock has multiple alarms. I have them set for 05:45 and 06:01. I forgot about my multiple alarms. Yesterday morning, both my alarms went off even though when I opened my Clock app there was only one alarm that was present. I could only dismiss the alarm, I could not disable it. I had to reload the Clock app to gain access to those features again.
Admittedly, my fault though for loading those other versions.
