Default Weird Stuff Happening On My Tour????

Please Login to Remove!

Finally upgraded from 8330 to the Tour and love it. No trackball and battery issues. But weird stuff happening. To unlock when I press the 4th entry that is a number I lose the password screen and the window saying" Press(green phone) To Start Emergency Call"! Also get that round small clock timer running for 2 seconds in the middle of the screen.
Anyone experience this? Any one have a solution? I am still within 30 days and hate to take a chance on exchanging the unit.
Help/Advice much appreciated, thanks.

The clock is your phone catching up on whatever command you are asking it to do. If you are still on the OS .40 that came with phone you are going to see that cause that OS is a little slow. As far as the keyboard lock, not really sure what you are talkin about but you can press the button the top left of your phone to lock/unlock the keypad.

Thanks for the reply.
My OS is 4.7.1.40 Platform (4.1.0.40). Is it worth upgrading? I hit update wireless on the phone and says nothing.

It is password protected to when I unlock and put in my password on the 4th entry that happens.

I think 4.7.1.53 is a great stable OS faster than .40 worth it. Jsanders put a download link on the sticky at the top of this forum its on the last page. Did you set it to be password protected?

I think you are accidently doing some sort of shortcut with your password. Do you have to hit caps lock? If so instead of using that just hold the letter down for a second and it will go caps.

That is what I thought but it isn"t a cap it is a number that I use on the 4th entry.

But you are having to hit alt right to get the number to work. Are you pressing and holding alt and then the number or do you just tap alt then the number?

Not sure what to tell ya on that password. Maybe have to change it to not have the numbers.

My phone has been popping up the "wait clock" all day today. I'm not sure if it's related to the BIS 2.8 upgrade or not. I actually missed a pretty good photo op waiting for the phone to catch up with me. This is only the second minor issue I've had since I got the phone. Would like to here if others are having the same problem as I and the OP.

As for the password problem, I don't have anything useful to add, sorry.

Wirelessly posted (Lets Go Canes!)

I would pull the battery in your case.

Fixed-I think I know what happened.
I changed password and does not happen with new password. When entering new password originally I think that timer clock was active and did something to the password.
Either way it is working, thanks.
