I'm sticking with my current one, no 3G here so no reason to pay $10 more for it.
Thanks for the post EZ, I'm sure you will be busy on the 11th.

I am curious, will they shorten the rest of your week so you don't exceed your 40 hours?!

Thanks for the post.

i thought it was only new (to AT&T) & current iphone1 users with account in good standing that could get the $199 / $299. If you have another AT&T phone i think you pay the higher upgrade price.

EZ, have you guys gotten that far in training?

Interesting, that checklist makes no mention of the existing iPhone user upgrade price

it does make the distinction of "qualified upgrades" vs. "early upgrade"

that is the same for everyone however. 18 months qualifies you for an upgrade, anything over 12 months to 18 months you can do an early upgrade at AT&T stores (you pay more). I have never waited until i was fully qualified for an upgrade.

nvm, AT&T iPhone 3G Pricing Details, On Sale at 8am, July 11th - Mac Rumors explains it.

AT&T also confirmed that they will be subsidizing the price for new and current iPhone customers at the WWDC-announced price of $199 (8GB) and $299 (16GB). These prices are specifically available to the following customers:

- iPhone customers who purchased before July 11
- Customers activating a new line with AT&T
- Current AT&T customers who are eligible, at the time of purchase, for an upgrade discount

For AT&T customers who are ineligible for the subsidized pricing, AT&T is offering an "early upgrade" price of $399 (8GB) and $499 (16GB). You can check your eligibility in your online AT&T account (screenshot).

Finally, AT&T is offering an unsubsidized price of $599 and $699 at a later date as a "no commitment" price for individuals who do not wish to sign a long-term contract.

AT&T is offering a iPhone 3G common questions guide for existing and new AT&T customers.

test-

I was playing with a display iPhone the other day in the store to see how well I would do on the keyboard. I'd say I did ok, but I did have some issues mainly with my big old fingers hitting buttons next to the ones I wanted versus the ones I was aiming for. Amazingly the iphone did a really good job in anticipating my errors and correcting them. I know there is a learning curve with any device, but I was curious as to how easy you think it is to become adapted to the iPhone?

I went from an 8800 to the iphone and it does take time to get used to it but you right that it does a great job correcting the mistakes. I'm one that think that people if they are open to taking the time to get used to a new keypad can get used to anything. I would not let the keep you from making a purchase, their are plenty of people that are actually faster on the iphone then any other.

Thanks for the information update. Ironically, I made a phone call last week and I was told ANYONE would be able to purchase the Iphone at the $199 price regardless if their contracts were up.
I have a feeling there will be alot of unhappy people because they may not be clear about the pricing eligibility.

We will have to wait and see.

App store apps are now showing in iTunes. simply search for an app and the search results include apps. try something as easy as iphone in the search and click applications for example.
