Unhappy Same problem

I am having the same problem, but with PocketMac. On my device, it says that there are 0 (zero) entries for the calendar. Contacts sync no problem. I have tried everything: Clean install of PocketMac, wipe the BlackBerry and nothing works. I just got my 8830, I did not have this problem with my 7130. I need help.

Default Must be a Blackberry issue

Since we are having the same issues using different syncing software the issue must be in the 8830. Hopefully someone out there can help us.

For Missing Sync, try resetting your sync services history:

1. Go to iCal and choose 'File' menu and then 'Backup database'.
2. Still in iCal choose 'File and then 'Revert to database backup' and choose the backup you just made.
3. In Missing Sync, click on the 'Help' menu and select 'Reset Sync History'
4. De-select other plugins and leave only 'Calendar' selected
5. Click the 'Reset Sync History' button.

Now try the sync again.

Default Any progress?

Has anyone gotten their 8830's calendar to sync with their mac properly (using MissingSync or PocketMac)? It seems like Verizon has no information about this, and I can't figure out what to do next.

Any help or updates would be greatly appreciated.

A bit off topic, but does anyone know if MissingSync will sync with Now-Up-To-Date? I couldn't find anything on MarkSpace regarding it, but I've *heard* (albeit from my friend's cousin's brother's uncle's dog's father) that it supposedly works.

On a side note: NUTD needs to die. I hate that my job uses it. :(

RIM's update, via Verizon's site apparently fixes the 8830 calendar issue. Of course you will need a PC, or Boot Camp or Fusion to install the update.

BlackBerry™ 4.x Software Download

As for NUTD... Missing Sync uses Sync Services to sync its data. Since NUTD version 5 is not sync services aware, it doesn't sync with Missing Sync. The next version of NUTD (codename: Nighthawk) is supposed to be sync services aware and when released will be able to sync with Missing Sync.

It appears that 8830 users are reporting success with the their calendar sync issues after resending their service books through BIS. Here's are the details:

***************
This fix worked for me: Log into the VZW BIS site and resend Service Books to your device. I did this, soft reset my device, restarted my PC, and my calendar now syncs properly. Calendar options on the device no longer shows 0 entries. Hope this helps.
***************

I was also having problems getting my Blackberry calendar entries into iCal (using MissingSync & PocketMac), and it now works great.

No worries ... BIS = Blackberry Internet Service. It's the interface that allows you to enter your e-mail accounts so that your messages are pushed to your device. Since I'm also new on the site, I don't think that I can post URLs. However, if you just do a google search for "verizon blackberry bis" you should be able to find it the link to Verizon's Blackberry BIS.

This may be slightly off topic, but on the mIssing Sync site under 'known issues' there is mention of a sync problem with iCal - Blackberry and recurring tasks ['iCal does not support recurring tasks, but the BlackBerry device does'...]. Dos the same issue affect recurring calendar events or just tasks?

Apologize for the 'stupid' question, I routinely use recurring iCal events, but rarely use iCal tasks at all - but seems liek a possibility that the bug in Missing Sync could have an effect on this as well.

Any experiences?
